How we make money

Junk Cars Nation is free for people selling a car. We earn money in three ways, and none of them changes what our guides say.

1. Yard plans

Junkyards and junk car buyers can pay for a Verified plan. Verified businesses show their phone number and website, carry the Verified badge after we check their business, and appear first in their area. Free listings show the business name, type and address.

2. Introducing sellers to buyers

When you ask us for an offer, we call you, then pass your request to one Verified buyer near you, only after you know who they are and agree. That buyer pays us for the introduction. We never send your details to a list of buyers at once.

3. Referral fees

Some links, such as instant online offers from Peddle, may earn us a referral fee if you sell through them. It doesn't change the price you're offered.

What we don't do

• We don't buy cars or set prices. Buyers make their own offers.
• We don't sell or rent your details to marketers.
• We don't let anyone pay to change a guide, a state rule or a glossary entry.
